However, he did more than try. Hercules completed all of these | /SIG/ BRASIL

However, he did more than try. Hercules completed all of these, and effectively reached forgiveness. Thus, we see great disappointment and pain at the beginning of this tale, and more adversity to come; yet, he conquered not only these labors but also himself, and entered heaven as a result.

Hercules should be an example to all of us on the nature of not giving up despite the great sorrow upon our heart, and to use it as fuel for our holy ambitions.

_______

My Words on the matter:

As humans with physical bodies, we tend to avoid anything that will bring us sorrow, pain, and regret. However, these are often necessary evils we must endure in order to reach higher things. In other cases, the cause of suffering isn't by choice, but our reaction to it certainly is.

To the reader I say: learn from your suffering and learn to embrace pain. It is part of our existence in the sublunar realm and we must overcome it through mind and fortitude.

Be thankful for any lessons, no matter how painful, and keep close to the Gods. Make no compromises in your pursuit of the Good and Truth, for all else is wicked and depraved. Our own foregoing of the body, sensual desires, and excesses will empower the soul beyond what is imaginable.

Remember, no Wisdom comes for free.

And, when all else fails and you only find the strength to exist, remember the words of Seneca,

“Sometimes even to live is an act of courage”.
